We’ve all heard that Virginia is for Lovers but, I would argue that there is no place more romantic and welcoming than Olympic National Park for your adventure elopement. Olympic is the ideal place to elope and offers the widest variety of landscapes and backgrounds of any park in the National Park system.

Depending on your dream location, Olympic offers stunning mountain views in the Hurricane Ridge area, wind-swept, rocky, driftwood beaches along the coast, moss-drenched rainforests and even secluded waterfalls. Every one of natures’ best features is represented and there are endless spots where you can pledge your life to each other.

To make it even more appealing, the park is very lenient and accommodating when it comes to hosting your elopement and providing photography permits. While Olympic is not all-around dog friendly, pups are welcome on a few trails and areas throughout the park so be sure to research and plan ahead if your dog is your baby and must be part of your adventure elopement.

When planning your adventure elopement in Olympic National Park, it is important to consider the time of year you want your event to take place. In the case of Hurricane Ridge, there is snow collected on the ground well into May but, if you time it correctly, you can have both green grass and snow at the same time! During winter months, you definitely want to come prepared for a winter wonderland and check to make sure the area is plowed and accessible.

Ruby Beach on the coast is magical almost year-round but winter temperatures and wind chill make spring, summer and fall more ideal for this drift-wood laden area. If your heart is set on the glorious rainforest vibe, I would advise you skip July -September because very little rainfall cases the lush green to dull.

With some planning and an open heart, Olympic National Park is the perfect spot for adventurous couples to elope and experience all of the best that nature has to offer.
