Ann + Brandon: Texas Wanderlove Engagement Session

MEET MELODY

Melody is a full-time nomad who calls an RV home while roaming all over the western US and beyond for couple’s adventure photography in the wilds of nature. Her style is cinematic, romantic and richly colored and she believes that the beauty and chaos of nature, with its twisting paths, coarse landscapes and breath-taking wonder is a poignant analogy for relationships. The Pacific Northwest will always hold a special place in her heart but, life is short and the world is wide so check out the travel schedule to follow along with her adventures.

Ann + Brandon’s Wanderlove Story

Her Name: Ann Margareta Josefsson
Her Birthplace: Mjölby, Sweden
His Name: Brandon Michael Hope
His Birthplace: Anderson, Indiana.

Where did you meet? Denver, Colorado. I was living in California at the time and I flew to Breckenridge, CO for a ski trip with my brother and a group of friends. Brandon is a coworker and friend of my brother but we had never met. So, our first meeting was at a car rental place at Denver International Airport!

Can you identify specific decisions or life events that brought you together? Definitely the decision to go on that ski trip! After the trip, we lost contact for a while since we both lived in different states. A year later, I made the decision to move to Houston just in time for my brother’s wedding. Brandon and I met again at the wedding, talked during the entire time and started to text each other right after. A few weeks later, at a mutual friend’s birthday party, we decided we should go on a date. We’ve been together ever since!

What were your first impressions of each other and what initially attracted you?

Ann: “I thought Brandon was very good-looking and a bit quiet.”
Brandon: “Ann was extremely gorgeous and I really liked her accent.”

As you saw more of each other, what made you fall in love?

Ann: “He’s so funny, loyal, family-oriented, disciplined, smart, good-hearted, a hard worker, and kind.”
Brandon: “This is by no means an exhaustive list but Ann is thoughtful, honest, trustworthy, funny, selfless, a great listener, faithful, family-oriented, a great cook, good with money and we have a shared religion and similar life goals.”

On October 9, 2017, Brandon proposed and I said yes right away. We decided to elope and went to the courthouse and got officially married the same day but we are busy planning a destination wedding for early 2019!

How do the places you have been together help define or shape your relationship?
Our vacation to Destin brought us much closer than we already were because this was our first real alone together where we could spend time and express our love for one another.

Are there any locations that are special to you as a couple? Breckenridge, Colorado. Sozo Sushi in Houston, and Destin, Florida.

Do you see your location changing in the future? Why or why not? Not in the near future. We both love Houston and I am very close to my brother and sister-in-law.
